Meet the School Counselor: Lilliana Garcia

Hi, welcome back to 4th quarter. I am glad to be part of the educational team that is focused to help students succeed. I have been working closely with students in-person and through virtual meetings to ensure that the students have the tools they need to overcome any challenges that while attending school. The school year is close to an end and it is amazing to see how hard students have been working this year. Please let me know if there is anything I can provide support or any help. April 2021 – Know the Signs of Depression

The 2020-2021 school year has been challenging compared to previous years. Students, family, and staff have learned to quickly adapt to an alternative way of learning compared to the traditional in-person classes. In-person school closures were necessary to protect families and staff and continue classes through distance learning. It is important to remember to take care of your mental health.  I would like to share monthly topics to continue promoting health and awareness. Are you or someone else experiencing any symptoms of depression.  The following resources will provide more information about depression, self-care, and mental health. If you or someone else is having thoughts of self-harm, please reach out for help.
