Mrs. Shao Castillo serves as Assistant Principal at Madison Highland Prep. She was born and raised in Mainland China and later earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Iowa. Mrs. Castillo continued her education at Michigan State University and Northern Arizona University, where she obtained two Master of Arts degrees—one in Teacher Education and Curriculum Building, and the other in Educational Leadership with a focus on Principalship. Over the years, she’s had the privilege of teaching students from kindergarten through 12th grade across both public and charter schools in Arizona, serving diverse communities in both rural and urban settings. Outside of MHP, Ms. Castillo enjoys listening to audiobooks and podcasts, exploring fun adventures with her young daughter, and trying delicious, exotic foods. As a lifelong learner, she deeply committed to supporting our educators, students, and families.
