Mrs. Melissa Ross earned her B.A. in English from Western Michigan University, an M.F.A. degree in Creative Writing from Arizona State University, and a Reading Specialist Endorsement on her teacher certification. She has produced several plays off-Broadway and enjoyed a career as a freelance writer before moving from Michigan to Arizona, where she has been an educator since 2002.  While teaching Poetry in America dual enrollment in a nonprofit program sponsored by Harvard University and platformed by ASU, several of her students scored within the top 10 percent of the nation. In addition, many of her students have had their poems and short stories published in collections available on Amazon. She is currently an adjunct professor and is working on a second collection of poetry.
