Announcements –Wednesday, 8/16/17

Good morning MHP,

Today is an early release day. School will dismiss at 1:30pm. There is no late bus or extracurricular activities this afternoon. All extracurricular activities will resume tomorrow, Thursday, August 17, 2017.

Attention Juniors: Parking permit registration is now open for you to register to park on campus. Please provide your car registration, insurance, and driver’s license information, as well as, the $25 per semester or $50 for the year parking registration fee, to the front office.

Attention Seniors: ECAP meetings for college admissions continue this week. ECAP meetings will be held on Thursday, , August 17th. All seniors should bring their college planning folder to the meeting. Seniors who qualify for free and/or reduced lunch are eligible to receive a fee waiver to take the SAT. The next SAT test date is October 7, 2017. The deadline to register is September 8, 2017.

For those students interested in joining VEX Robotics permissions slips and registration are due by THURSDAY to Mr. Bonds in F7.

Student Council is seeking 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th graders interested in student government and leadership to hold the positions of class representatives. Interested students should see Mrs. Harris in F5 for applications. Applications and speeches are due Thursday. Class representative elections will be held Monday, August 21, 2017.

Auditions for performance choir will be held after school by appointment this week. Please stop by D3 and speak with Ms. Hille at lunch or after school.
Auditions for pep band will be held tomorrow Friday, August 18th at 2:40pm. Please stop by D3 and see Mrs. Hille.

This Friday, August 18, 2017 MHP will be hosting its first pep assembly of the year. Be prepared to cheer on our fall sports teams and show off your school spirit!

Important Cafeteria News: Payment for breakfast and/or lunch will only be taken in the morning before 8:00am. If you need to add money to your lunch account please do so during breakfast. Payments will no longer be accepted at lunch time. All students buying breakfast or lunch must have their ID. Failure to present your ID at breakfast and/or lunch will result in going to the back of the line.

Need a cool, healthy, sweet break from the summer heat? How about JAMBA JUICE! Stop by the Fine Arts Room D3 and get your Bo Go card from Ms. Hille. For just $10 you get six by one get one free drinks!! $5 from each card goes to our school music programs. We only have a limited number, so stop by before they’re gone and support our music program!"
