Announcements –Monday, December 18, 2017

Good morning MHP!

There is a late bus today.

There are 5 days left until the end of the quarter.

Basketball schedule for this week:
12/19/17 Men’s Varsity away vs. New Way Academy. Tip-off at 6:00pm.
12/21/17 Men’s JV away vs. Jones Gordon School. Tip-off at 6:00pm
12/21/17 Men’s Varsity home vs. Sonoran Science Academy. Tip-off at 8:00pm.
12/22/17 Women’s Varsity home vs. Empower Collegiate Academy. Tip-off at 6:30pm.
12/22/17 Men’s Varsity home vs. Empower Collegiate Academy. Tip-off at 8:00pm.

Visual Arts Showcase will be held today at 5:00pm in the student commons. Come and check out the awesome art pieces that will be on display.

Fine Arts assembly will take place Wednesday, December 20th, at 12:30pm.

PLTW and Government proficiency exams will be administered on Thursday, December 21st.

End of Course (EOC) assessments in English, Mathematics, and Science will be administered on Friday, December 22nd. Attendance for all EOC’s is mandatory.

Seniors: On Tuesday, December 19th, there will be a senior workshop. This block of time will be used to complete FAFSA applications, scholarship applications, and finalize college admission applications.

Attention juniors and seniors: If you have not turned in your permission to slip Mrs. Rodriguez for the Grand Canyon University trip please do so immediately. Spots are limited to the first 50 juniors and seniors who sign up. You must be passing your classes and in good standing to eligible to participate in the trip.

A representative from Arizona State University’s College of Nursing and Health Innovation will be on campus December 19th to speak to juniors and seniors who are interested majoring in a health related field at ASU.

Attention seniors: All college/university acceptance letters should be turned into Mrs. Rodriguez to be filed.

Auditions for Spring Semester Pep Band and Performance Choir will be held the first week of school in January. Sign up will be in D3 during lunch.

Student Council will be selling Candy Cane Grams starting on today at lunch in the courtyard until Wednesday 12/20. They will be delivered on Friday 12/22 during 4th period.

Student council will hold a Holiday Spirit Week from 12/18-12/22.
Themes for each day are:
Monday: Reindeer Day
Tuesday Hanakwanzamas
Wednesday Ugly Sweater (Ugly Sweater Competition @ lunch Funniest Most Spirit, Ugliest, Best overall)
Thursday Snow Day (wear white)
Friday North Pole- Santa/Mrs. Clause/Elves Day.

Basketball schedule for this week:
12/15/17 Men’s Varsity, home, versus New Way Academy. Tip-off at 8:00pm

On Monday, December 18th, there will be a visual arts showcase at 5:00pm in the student commons. Come and check out the awesome art pieces that will be on display.

PLTW and Government proficiency exams will be administered on Thursday, December 21st. Finals for English, Mathematics, and Science will be administered on Friday, December 22nd. Attendance for all finals is mandatory.
