Central Region Coach of the Year, Central Region Player of the Year, and Central Region 2nd team are among some of the distinctions Madison Highland Prep's men's soccer team have been awarded. Coach Watson has been the men's soccer coach at Madison Highland Prep for the past seven years and was recently named the Central Region Coach of the Year. After hearing of his distinction, Watson said, "I felt great. It made me proud of the work the team has done this season". He explained that the goal he sets for his team every season is to simply be in "constant improvement and to showcase this improvement not only on the field, but off the field".
Josiah Martinez, a junior, was awarded the Central Region Player of the Year. This was his first year playing for Madison Highland Prep and he was also recognized for having set the school record for points scored in a season. Martinez said, "I'm so glad that I got to be a part of this team and very proud of how well we did this year". He explains he hopes to continue being a great player for this team and is looking forward to the next season.
Voss Sellers was named to the Central Region 2nd team and also set the records goals scored and points scored this season. Christian Neri was named to the Central Region 2nd Team. Daniel Dominguez was named to the Central Region 2nd Team and won the state title for assists. Dominguez said, " Having a clear mind and vision of what we want when the game hits half-time, is what really helps us focus on achieving the best outcome". Oliver Morland was named to the Central Region Honorable Mention Team and won the state title for goalkeeper saves and set the school record for goalkeeper saves in a season.
Noah Bethell, Salvadore Fuentes, Saul Hernandez, Stone Solis, and Isaac Nevarez were named to the Central Region Honorable Mention Team. Overall, the team ranked 4th in state and had a season record of 10-2-1.
